You’re too intelligent to fall for some fancy words that will trick you into buying this book. So I’ll come right out with it.
I WANT YOU TO BUY THIS BOOK.
Why should you? Well, I think it has everything that a Tim reader would like. There’s tales from Grade One Refs, there’s the impact of social media on Celtic and journalism, there are stories about the rise of the Internet Bampots and there is even a beautiful summation, from three different writers, on the death of Rangers.
Being one of my books, of course, there are stories about La Cosa Nostra, debauchery at Wembley and seedy hotel rooms in Atlantic City. Plus many more.
It may not totally PC, but it’s all real.
I’m confident you’ll laugh, swell with pride and even shed the odd tear. After spending the best part of a year talking to folk, researching things and putting it all into words, 406 pages of them, I can safely say this my best work so far.
You’ll read a lot about me in the book, some funny, some sad, some jawdropping and the beauty for me now is that you all know me through the books but now I am knowing more and more of you too, which is fantastic. See, that’s really what these books are about, people. Celtic people and characters, often both.
I’ll leave this blog short but remember when you’re reading it, I’m a bampot.
And so are you.
