A Rough Guide to the Book Launch
Well, the book launch is almost here, all the promoting is over and it’s time for some fun. I thought I’d just talk you through a few things to make your night all the more enjoyable.
Blackfriars is a city centre pub and, like most, has a policy of‘no football colours in the upstairs bar. However, they are used to a football crowd when Celtic play at home and are happy to let fans into the pub as long as colours are not flaunted..
There are two entrances to the pub. Please use the side entrance on Albion Street as this opens straight into the door that leads to the book launch venue which is down underneath the main bar. @brummiebhoy (Liam) will be on the door from 5pm onwards and will look out for any lost or confused bampots wandering around the area. If you enter via the main door on Bell Street then walk across the bar, bearing left at the end where you will find the doors that lead down to the function room but we really would prefer you to use the Albion Street entrance.
Give the the time the game finishes, we ask if as many of you as possible could come right from Celtic Park to the venue as we really need everyone in Blackfriars by 5.45pm.
We need to shut the doors when the speeches and Q&A are on.
@brummiebhoy has the list of names and will tick you off as you go in.
Once everyone is in, the night will kick off.
There will be speeches, a Q&A, a raffle, band and more speeches at the end,
There will be three female raffle sellers including @chibchenko and @weekates
We would like to stress how important it is that everyone supports the raffle.
If you can’t make it but want to support the raffle, top prize a signed Celtic jersey, it’s £5 a strip and you can purchase them by paying to wimstims@gmail.com on PayPal. @lauren_mcclos is loooking after the tickets for folk who can’t make it,
Proceeds from the raffle will go to mental health charities in Scotland and New York.
There will be 20 copies of Albert, Dougie and Wim on sale, with signatures too obviously. Obviously we need to sell them all.
Apart from the books and raffle, the other main thing is we all enjoy ourselves. We are all there for a good time and every effort is being made to ensure that everyone has one. We have a great band again and fun and frolics are guaranteed!
So come on ye bampots!!!!
